On their all-in-one platform, you can turn followers into subscribers, grow your newsletter, and connect it all to your community or podcast. Stop chasing virality on platforms you can’t control. Tips and Tricks!
Put your big-boy journalism pants on, research and reach out to your network to try and find someone who might be able to connect you with someone that can potentially get your application in front of a hiring manager!
Also, if seasoned members know of internship opportunities, PLEASE SHARE! This is a community and as I said in my initial email, I want us to grow together! Shoot them my way with links and potential contacts and I will share in a follow-up email!
Take a VERY QUICK survey 🙏🙏🙏
I’m still looking for more of y’all to fill out a demographics survey!
Do me a solid and fill out the survey here. This will give me much needed data to figure out how to best serve your needs, how to shape panels, what social media accounts we need to spend more resources on. PLUS we’ll be able to link potential mentors and mentees.
The entire survey will take anywhere between 5-15 minutes. None of it will be shared and is truly just for me to figure out demographics and how to better align goals and priorities.
OTHER NEWS
HUGE congratulations are in order to Adi Joseph who just became the Vice President of News at ESPN 🤯 It’s incredibly rare to see people of color take on massive roles like this, so to see Adi take this post is a big, big, big deal for all of us.
Big ups to Gareth Kwok who got a fill-in opportunity to call a game for the Blazers!
Happy belated birthday (Oct. 25th) to the young fella Noah Furtado. Despite his age, he’s rapidly ascended in his career as he recently became the Chargers’ beat writer for The Athletic. He’s also QUICKLY become one of the toughest interviewers in the market as he’s earned a reputation for holding Jim Harbaugh, Mike McDaniel and Justin Herbert accountable during what has become a disastrous season for the Bolts.
